Walk on the Wild Side

Love is the solution to life’s problems, and God is the embodiment of love! We begin in a world that is shattered, but through our journey on earth, we become a beacon of love. Without love we are but a sounding gong or a clanging cymbal (1 Corinthians 13:1). And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love (1Corintians 13:13).

Breaking free from the norm is essential in order for us to become the individuals who encounter something more profound than what has traditionally been offered. The exhibitions of God’s power on earth were momentary and fleeting, as the power would come and go. I am transitioning to perceive the presence of God beyond the boundaries of my limited physical and mental capabilities. He declared He would make His home with His people. There is more to our relationship with our Lord than brief encounters. His glory will be present in us and with us continuously. His light illuminates us, and it becomes our light!

I notice in me He shows Himself when He wants to show Himself. It’s not a continuous occurrence, but rather sporadic. My constant longing is to always be in the presence of Him. And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed. (John 17:5). In order to embody this scripture, we must relinquish our present identity and projected image.

The urgency in my gut drives me to witness God’s majesty, mirroring heaven’s splendour on earth. If we’re satisfied with where we stand in our faith, we won’t witness the complete manifestation of God’s glory on earth. For where your treasure is, that’s where your heart will be (Matthew 6:21).

Many in the body of Christ have grown weary and fallen asleep, but don’t let that happen to you. Continue to pursue the greater purpose of reflecting Christ’s presence on earth through your once dead body.

The Kingdom of God defies democracy, logic, and rationality. People are not interested in seeing what they’ve already seen. They desire the majesty, mystery, eccentric, symbolic, and transcendent when they come in contact with us. Their wish is to be immersed in a world completely separate from their own. The aim is to uplift and transport people to another dimension, rather than to bring them down and remind them of what they already possess.

We have the potential to be those people if you break free from your usual routine. Allow yourself to walk into the fullness of Christ.

Take a walk on the wild side!
